September 11, 2001. Lives were lost. Families were devastated. America was completely shocked. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and another hit The Pentagon. So please pray. Pray for the families who lost loved ones. Pray for those who were involved, and those who just felt helpless. 'Cause some of them never got to say "goodbye".

!urgent prayer request!
Hey ya'll--sorry I haven't done a post in forever, but with school and everything, it's just hard to find time to blog. Glad ya'll understand! :) Anyway, back to the !urgent prayer request! Jonah, a guy who's like a little brother at me, is in the hospital due to a not-so-fun injury. He ran into his front door and instead of hitting the wooden part, he hit the glass. And his arms went right through it. So last night he had to have emergency surgey cuz the glass cut him all the way to the bone. Now his arms are in casts and he can't dance in our choir show at school. Which really stinks, seeing as he's the only guy that can actaully dance. But he should be able to sing his solo still. Yay!! He's singing "Baby" by Justin Bieber (I love that song!) and he sounds exactly him. So at least we'll get to cheer him on. But anyway, please pray. It's not the best situation to have both your arms in casts. Just think what a hard time people have with one arm wrapped up!
Thanks guys! Well, girls...
Praying for Jonah,
anna :)

God bless our troops.
If you don't know, today is Veterans' Day. So I'm giving a HUGE thanks to all those who've fought in the war, or helped out in any way. And I'm asking my readers to simply remember our soldiers that are still fighting out there somewhere. Pray for them--its the least we can do. They risk their lives on a daily basis so that America can be a free country. Many of them have left behind their families (like in this music video) and girlfriends and boyfriends and moms and dads...you get the picture. So don't take your freedom for granted. It's priceless.

just hush up and look up.
Have you ever prayed a prayer that sounds something like this?
Dear God,
Thanks for sending Jesus to save me. You're great. But there are a few more things that You could do for me...
I really want to make an A on my math test, and then there's this really cute guy that I like. Could You make him like me, too? Thanks. And I was wondering if maybe You could convince mom to buy me that turquoise jacket with the polka-dotted hood at Aeropostale. And You could throw in a pair of Ugg boots while You're at it.
Then my grandma isn't doing to great because of her cancer, so be with her. Be with grandpa too because I think he'll die if he loses her. Thanks again. Goodnight. Oh, and amen.
Now...what's wrong with this picture?
Well, first of all, that was a little bit selfish. Okay, that's definitely an understatement. That prayer was WAAAYYY selfish.
Yeah, they mentioned grandma and grandpa, but that was pretty much it.
But the main thing is that they never gave God a chance to answer. He was probably up there saying, "But--Wait--Hey--!" You know, like when you're talking to one of your friends on the phone and you can't even get two words in. Well, that's probably how God feels sometimes.
He listens to you--no doubt. But the question is: Do you listen to Him? So this week, I challenge you to be quiet for merely five minutes and listen for God's voice.
Or in other words, just hush up and look up :)
