welp...

If you're wondering right now what 'welp' means, it doesn't mean anything. I just say 'welp' instead of 'well' although I've never used it on my blog until now. But it's more "me", ya know? Not that you needed to now any of this but I tend to ramble. I try not to on my blog though (: Anyway, I wanted to ask you girls (or guys...I don't think I have any guy followers, or not that I know of!) about what you'd like to see on my blog. Do you like the music on my blogPod? How about my posts? Are they too much about my world and not enough about yours? Everyone seemed to like the TAG idea, so I think I'm gonna start that study after fall break (which is next week for us). So yeah. Please comment and tell me what you want and what you think! I'm back up to 40 followers (Thanks Bleah for being my official 40th follower)! Actually over--I have 41! I'm so jazzed :D *Jumps up and down like an excited two year old* Yes, I am that immature (: But really, the fact that 41 people actually care about what I have to say...that makes me happy (: Since this is already a realllyyy random post, I'm gonna tell you what I'm doing/thinking/saying as of this very minute. 'Cause that's just what I do (:

In: Word Processing. (I've finish my work already, as usual...)

Thinking: About church tonight! Woo!

Singing: How to Save a Life - The Fray

Wondering: What Josh just whispered in Sarah's ear

Craving: Chicken fettucini from Olive Garden

Wishing: That I won't have to do my homework. Yeah, right (:

anna :)

heroes that don't wear capes.

You never how far a little kindness can go. I know it sounds cheesy and elementary, but it's true. I see it now more than ever. High school is a lot...different than middle school. It's bigger and meaner and um, yeah, scarier. I was really scared on the first day that someone was gonna knock my books out of my hands like in the movies, but I'm over that now :) Anyway, kids are cruel. That's life. But you don't have to be. You SHOULDN'T be. You're a Christian, a Christ-follower. He lives in you. And if you make fun of someone (to their face OR behind their back), you're giving Christ a bad name. You're giving your fellow Christ-followers a bad name. So yeah. Be kind. You're kindness might bring a smile to someone's face. Kindness might get someone to thinking. Kindness might save someone's life. That's what heroes do. Save people's days and save people's lives. You don't have to wear a cape. You don't have to have superpowers. You just have to have Christ. And let Him shine through you.

{You could be a hero, heroes do what's right. You could be a hero, you might save a life...}

It's on my blogPod if you haven't heard it. I heart it :)

Till whenever,

see you at the pole :)

Well, I'm sitting in Word Processing. Have I mentioned we do absolutely nothing in this class? It's not a bad thing by the way ;) I get to catch up on blogging and even some homework in other classes if I'm not being lazy...which I am today, so I'm blogging :) We had "See You at the Pole" today, as did hundreds of others schools all across America. At 7 AM, there were about thirty-five kids standing and singing by the flag pole, all bright-eyed and bushy tailed. Okay, I was still half asleep, but ya know. So anyway, it was a total God-thing. All us high schoolers (and five or so middle schoolers) just standing there worshiping an amazing God. An awesome God. A totally indescribable, breathtaking God. It was so...reverent. And assuring. Assuring me that I'm not the only one taking the narrow road. Not the only one trying to live like Jesus. So yeah. It was one of those experiences I wouldn't mind re-living :) This post has a lot of smilies :) I've been really happy lately--and I don't even know why. I guess it's just God :) My facebook status the other day was "dear God, You make me smile for no apparent reason." And I'm still smiling...but I have a reason. Life is good, but eternal life is better. I'm not made for this place. I'm made for heaven. For Jesus :)

Blessings && smiles,
anna :)

ramblin' :)

I'm really not sure what to post. I'm thinking about starting a study called TAG (Truth About Guys) based on the book by Chad Eastham, because the guy thing has been hitting me pretty hard lately. And maybe some stuff about inner (and outer!) beauty. But ya know, I'm all about listening to suggestions so if you have something you'd think I should post about, definitely tell me.

I absolutely LOVE the song "Introducing Me" that Nick Jonas sings in Camp Rock 2! If you haven't heard it, you should look it up!

Ummm...I've got an English paper due on animal uses tomorrow. Joy, joy (sarcasm!). And some Geometry homework on top of that. Yuckkk.

I'm super, super, SUPER jazzed that Stellar Kart is coming really close to my town...and right after my birthday! Mom said she's gonna try to get tickets. Yay (:

And you know what I've figured out? Life is good, but eternal life is better. We get so caught up in everything around us, we forget we're made for heaven. So yeah, that thought has kept a smile on my face all weekend.

Well, I'm gonna go raid the cabinets...I'm starving!

Blessings && smiles,
anna :)

the guy topic.

I can't believe I've been blogging for over a year now, and I still haven't done a post about guys. The Girl World pretty much revolves around them these days, huh? It's all about who's going out with who, who just broke up with who, etc. I'm not allowed to date until I'm sixteen, though. But I'll be honest, I've had crushes. They've included:

*Lucas Till
(Hannah Montana the Movie)
*Mark-Paul Gosselaar
(Saved By the Bell)
*Chad Michael Murray
(A Cinderella Story)

No, but really. We've all had crushes. Real-life ones that just seem so out of reach sometimes. And sometimes, if that crush doesn't notice us, we get hurt. I mean, Taylor Swift's making millions off of songs about us liking guys (which I listen to by the way :D) Or sometimes maybe that crush does notice you, but only likes you as a "sister". But ya know what I think? I think we've put guys on a pedastal, so to speak. Like, we expect them to be our Prince Chraming, to do everything right, and to love us unconditionally and tell us we're beautiful...and the list goes on and on. But that's why we need Jesus. We need Him to be our everything. Not a guy. Sure, most everyone needs a help-meet, someone to walk the life-road with. But they're gonna make mistakes just like we do. So here's my theory on the boy topic:

I don't want Prince Charming - all he's got is charm. I want a prince-in-training, who love's God with all his heart :)

anna :)

gone without goodbye...

September 11, 2001. Lives were lost. Families were devastated. America was completely shocked. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and another hit The Pentagon. So please pray. Pray for the families who lost loved ones. Pray for those who were involved, and those who just felt helpless. 'Cause some of them never got to say "goodbye".

life is like a roller coaster...

life is like a roller coaster
that doesn't ever end
it goes up and it goes down
sometimes you lose, sometimes you win

i wonder on the worst of days
why i'm even here
then i remember i have purpose
and then it's all so clear

if life was good, all peachy-keen
we wouldn't need a Savior
we'd be happy all the time
and forget about our Creator

so i'm still ridin'
up and down
twistin', turnin'
round and round

on the roller coaster we call life
i get dizzy and confused
but my Savior's next to me
and He will see me through

i know it.

letters to God.

Hey girls! I watched Letters to God last night with my Mom and Dad and bawled my eyes out. But in the good kind of way :) Inspired by a true story, an extraordinary eight-year-old boy, Tyler Doherty, faces his daily battle with cancer with bravery and grace. Armed with the courage of his faith and surrounded by a loving family and community, he writes to his pen pal, God. Tyler's letters find their way to a hurting postman standing at the crossroads in his own life. At first, Postman Brady is confused and conflicted over what to do with the letters. But the decision he ultimately makes becomes a testament to the quiet power of one boy’s unshakeable faith and shining spirit.

I definitely give it 5/5 Stars. It's a great movie for the whole family. So grab the popcorn, Coke, and tissues and get ready to be inspired ♥
