Hey girls! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Once I get my Mac (the computer!) I'll be posting more regularly. Anyways...The Museum lead worship at my church today! How awesome is that?! I was totally jazzed all weekend and they did not to disappoint me. They met my expectations and totally rocked our worship service. God was definitely in our mist :) If you haven't heard of The Museum, you can check out their signature song on my blog iPod--"My Help Comes From the Lord". Their new CD hits stores Tuesday, so be sure to get a copy! Well, I've gotta head to church, but I hope you've had a great summer :)

the Jesus in me (original song)
Hey you guys! I think I posted the first verse and chorus to this song a long time ago...but now it's completely complete! Haha (: Anyways, be sure to comment and tell me what you think!
She's the life of the party
Blonde hair, blue eyes
She's the cheer captain, too
Like that's a suprise
When she walks down the hall
The guys are hypnotized
But I've got something, something she needs
I've got Jesus Christ
I might not look like
The cover of a magazine
I'm not perfect
So sometimes I just wanna scream
It's hard to remember in this society
That what makes me beautiful
Is the Jesus in me
Well time flew by
Now she's thirty-eight
She's had two kids
Another's on the way
Her youthful looks are gone
But she's got saving grace
So she's got beauty, beauty inside
She's got Jesus Christ
I might not look like
The cover of a magazine
I'm not perfect
So sometimes I just wanna scream
It's hard to remember in this society
That what makes me beautiful
Is the Jesus in me
Grandma, what were you like at fifteen
Were you popular, were you the prom queen
Did guys like you, what is it all about
I'm a freshman this year
I've gotta figure it out
She simply smiled and said oh, sweet girl
That won't help you find a place in this world
All you'll ever need is Jesus Christ
Give Him yourself, give Him your life
You might not look like
The cover of a magazine
You're not perfect
So sometimes you'll just wanna scream
Be sure to remember in everything you do
What makes you beautiful
Is the Jesus in you
Yeah, yeah...
We might not look like
The covers of magazines
We're not perfect
So sometimes we'll just wanna scream
We need to get out there and open up their eyes
Cause what makes us beautiful
Is Jesus Christ
She's the life of the party
Blonde hair, blue eyes

always waiting? just say it.
Well, I figured out I fit under this catergory. I'm always waiting for tomorrow, and I'm not living in today like I should be. I think, "This day is going by so slow. I wish it would just end already." But really, I should be thanking God for that day and telling Him how much I appreciate it. Because life is a precious gift. And I think we take it for granted. There's a Stellar Kart song (I LOVE THEM!!) called "Always Waiting". It was sort of the inspiration for this post actaully. Anyway, here's the chorus:
Always waiting for tomorrow
Always waiting for the new to come around
Still waiting for the grass that's greener
Always waiting for anything but now
And it's so true! I'm always wanting something more than what God has given me. I need to be content with what I have. And that's what Britt Nicole's song "Say It" is about:
With eyes open wide
I'm taking You in
Making the time
Mean all that it can
I don't need a sign
I just need to begin
With every second
Of every minute
And I'm living in it
And that's how I say it
So...are you always waiting? Then just say it (:
