day six: a moment you wish you could relive.

A moment I wish I could relive...*taps chin*  A vacation?  Church camp?  No, I would want to relive the moment I got saved.

And don't roll your eyes and be like "Sunday school answer."  No.  That's really not the case.  And I'll tell you why.

See, over the years I've doubted my salvation.  I was saved when I was only six, so I don't remember it very well.  And I guess that kinda scared me that I didn't remember.  I think, "Shouldn't it be memorable?  Something so special and life-changing?"

Then it hit me.  I didn't really have a complete life-change.  I was six.  I really hadn't done anything super-bad or a lot to regret.  I just knew that I was sinner and that I need to be saved.  So I asked Jesus to come into my heart and save me from my sins.

And ya know what?  That was enough.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you WILL BE SAVED." -Romans 10:9

That verse confirmed it for me.  I AM saved.  And I know my final destination.

And even though I don't remember that moment very well, I do remember that my prayer was innocent and heart felt and pretty much beautiful.  And that's why I would want to relive it.

Oh yes. I definitely can relate to this post. I was saved when I was three, and for the past couple of years, I've been kind of jealous of those with a real testimony. I mean, my testimony doesn't sound that great - I was saved at age three, and yeah. That's it. Big whoop.

But then I realized that it is amazing when anyone comes to the Father. The angels literally throw a party, because that day, another soul was added to the Kingdom of Heaven, and someday we'll all be together. Forever and ever and ever. :)

Great post! And thanks for praying for my grandpa! He's doing great now, and I so appreciate your prayers. :)

(P.S. - It's awesome to find another Stellar Kart fan. I <3 them. :D)

That was the most beautiful moment ever!!! I got saved when I was four, and though I don't remember it very well, I thank God every day for welcoming me into his family, regardless of my age. Great post :))

That's awesome.

I don't even remember getting saved or I'm sure I would have had a sunday school answer as well. :P

Mmm, lovely moment!! I vaguely remember a night where I 'gave my life' to Jesus...but I was so young I barely remember it. Ha, I guess I would like to relive that too. (:

Ahh, I can definitely relate to this. I don't even remember the exact age I was saved, but I know I've prayed the prayer many times since then, just as a confirmation and restatement of my faith, and I do wish I could remember that moment. And that verse has totally been a comfort to me too...it's amazing. :)
